I couldn’t blame her. We were engaged to be married.

And the man she said “yes” to only a short time ago no longer existed.

That man was fit. Energetic. Attractive. Happy.

A man she was proud to spend the rest of her life with.

But here we were and that guy had vanished.

Just a few months after our engagement...

And like so many guys who have gone through the same struggles over the last year...

With all the stress and difficulty of 2020 weighing heavy on my shoulders...

I packed on the pounds (fast) and it didn’t look good.

My pants didn’t fit anymore. I had to leave the button undone just to get them around my love handles.

My face looked bloated and pudgy. I had a constant double-chin (even when I looked straight up, which I didn’t think was possible).

Every time I stepped on the scale it was higher than the day before -- like my waistline had become a runaway freight train and nothing I did could take it off it’s collision course.

The mental toll was as awful as the physical one.

I’d let myself go and was upset that I’d slipped backwards so badly.

To top it off, I felt powerless to stop it.

Our individual lives may not be too similar, but I’m betting this might sound pretty familiar, right?

My name -- by the way -- is Frankie. I’m 51 years old. I have 3 kids and I live in Huntington Beach, California.

To be blunt about my situation just a few short months ago...

I gained so much weight and was so angry with myself about it... I didn’t feel like me anymore.

My fiance and I both knew it. Both could feel it.

Paleo diet.

High intensity cardio.

Crossfit workouts.

Jogging.
